About

This exhibit celebrates the cultural importance and impact of these communities’ often untold stories and hidden histories. These untold stories include difficult moments in our nation and campus history, from statewide exclusion laws for African Americans to campus curfews for Japanese American students during World War II to the politics and treatment of underrepresented groups searching for equality and civil rights. From sharing and promoting cultural heritage and traditions to commemorating leaders in science, public health, architecture, literature, politics, and labor movements, these stories seek to enrich the intellectual and cultural experiences of UO students, staff, and faculty.
