Four aspiring educators, Kaitlyn Anderson, Kayla Moraida, Cate Codding, and Robyn May, are the brains behind the creation of Üblek Lessons! Together, the crew brainstormed, constructed, and test-ran the various aspects of the four Scratch Lessons and website. Continue reading below to learn more about the individual creators!
Hi, My name is Kaitlyn Anderson and I am a Junior at the University of Oregon studying Early Education. I hope to one day be teaching in a K-3 Grade classroom in the Pacific NorthWest. I am excited and very passionate about the lessons we have created for this subject as learning while having fun is so important in education in the classroom. We have paired Science, Math etc in creating a fun project of Oobleck for young students.
Howdy! My name is Kayla Moraida and I am a sophomore at the University of Oregon, majoring in Educational Foundations and minoring in Special Education! Although I’m unsure where I want to land after college, I look forward to the day I am teaching in the classroom (I’ve been dreaming of this moment since I was a little girl!). My flight as a Duck has been incredible, as I have enjoyed and value the many EDST and SPED courses I have taken! I am passionate about bridging my love of creativity and learning while sharing that with others. I believe our Oobleck project is a perfect harmony of combing my dedication to creation and enthusiasm for teaching!
Hi! My name is Cate and I am a Freshman at the U of O! My major is Educational Foundations and I am going to minor in Global Service. After graduation I hope to move abroad and teach English somewhere for a little bit, but my ultimate goal is to be a fourth or fifth grade teacher at a public school on the West Coast! I am excited about our oobleck curriculum we have created because I think it is the perfect mix of educational, interactive, entertaining, and fun!
Hello! My name is Robyn and I am a senior at the University of Oregon, majoring in Educational Foundations and minoring in Special Education and Philosophy. After graduation this June I will be completing my masters in the UOTeach program. After completing my masters program in June of 2023 I plan on becoming a teacher in an elementary school classroom somewhere along the west coast! I had so much fun with this oobleck project as I love hands-on activities. I am also excited to be using activities and lessons just like this one in my own class someday soon!
