This blog is a means of displaying my work from the course Gateway to Media (J205 & 206) at the University of Oregon School of Journalism. During the winter term of 2014, I peered into the lives of local Eugeneans and U of O students who work to preserve their cultural identities here. Eugene has a very Caucasian-majority history, but with an increase in ethnic and international residents, the city is slowly moving towards a multicultural mindset.

I am Negina Pirzad, and I am in my second year of undergraduate studies at the University of Oregon. I study Journalism and International Studies, along with both the French and Arabic languages here. My career goals include international journalism (print and photo) and peace advocation.
