Different Mountains
Mount Shuksan: Elevation 9,127 feet
The mountain is composed of Shuksan greenschist, oceanic basalt that was metamorphosed when the Easton terrane collided with the west coast of North America (CascadeClassics), approximately 120 million years ago.The mountain is an eroded remnant of a thrust plate formed by the Easton collision.
This is one of the most popular mountains in all of the Northern Cascades because of it’s wondrous beauty and how “photogenic” the mountain seems to be. With tourists coming year round to take photos of this beauty.
Hozomeen Mountain: Elevation 8,071 feet
Twin peaked mountain with very steep cliffs.
Sahale Mountain: Elevation 8,680 feet
Sahale Mountain is a jagged glaciated mountain that is part of the Northern Cascades.
