In the Moment

Preparing for another football season starts long before the changing colors of fall. It’s during the heat of summer, that youth tackle football athletes head to week long camps to brush up on skills and learn new ones. Eliyah Whiterock is one of the athletes. Every summer, Whiterock gives up a week of his break to run drills and practice his football skills. Not only does this increase his excitement for the coming season, it also helps to activate his muscle memory for better performance. With friend and teammate Kolten Owens, 11, the two spent their week at camp having fun and growing their love of football.
