Statement

Dr. Ian Greenhouse directs the Action Control Laboratory at UO. The lab's research examines how humans initiate and cancel movement using combinations of behavioral testing, electrophysiology, neuroimaging, and brain stimulation in healthy and clinical populations. Projects in the laboratory include investigations of the neural computations involved in action preparation, the identification of novel markers of action stopping, and the relationships between individual differences in motor performance and intrinsic brain chemistry.

Dr. Greenhouse earned his undergraduate degree in Psychology at Tufts University and his Ph.D. at the University of California, San Diego. He completed postdoctoral training at the University of California, Berkeley. He joined the Department of Human Physiology at the University of Oregon in the Fall of 2017.
