Welcome to my blog site! My name is Noah, and I’m a freshman at the University of Oregon.
As a naturally late sleeper, and someone who has only started to learn good time management recently, I am always rushing to get to class on time, while still grabbing a bite to eat on the way. However, with campus having over 8,000 students at one time, crowds can sometimes get in my way. With my project titled DuckSpotting: Tracking Tracktown’s Flow of Students, I wanted to give students like me an accurate visual depiction of which pats of campus, including walkways and cafeterias are busiest at different time throughout the day. With this project, I want to enlighten the University of Oregon community by showing the walking, biking, and driving patterns that people show on campus, in order to make walking from A to B more accessible and convenient.
