Please join us for the first Environmental Studies Brown Bag Seminar of Winter Term. Dr. Kurt Russo, a representative from the Lummi Nation, will share their initiatives to protect and care for the Southern Resident Killer Whales (Sk’aliCh’elh) of the Salish Sea. Dr. Russo will present an Indigenous-led approach to environmental conservation that encourages the transformation of academic inquiry and scientific decision-making to methods that foreground Indigenous ways of knowing.
