GE Amendment Letters
Occasionally, GE contracts are amended for one of two reasons:
- Change in GE level
- Change in FTE
For changes in GE level, the following must be provided to Jim Klenke to process a revised ePRF
- For Level 2 – attach the student’s transcript that verifies their Master’s degree.
- For Level 3 – attach the student’s advancement letter verifying that they have advanced to doctoral candidacy.
For changes in FTE, use the GE amendment template below.

Process for change in FTE:
- Confirm with the Associate Dean of Graduate Studies that the change is approved.
- Update the increase in FileMaker (this will show you the new amount they will get paid).
- Update the increase in the online GE spreadsheet that is used by the SOMD Accounting Office.
- Send a GE amendment via DocHub
- Once the GE amendment is signed, send it to SOMDaccounting with a note about who is being increased and by how much. Sometimes, they may need to know where the funds are coming from.
