GE Amendment Letters

Occasionally, GE contracts are amended for one of two reasons:

  • Change in GE level
  • Change in FTE

For changes in GE level, the following must be provided to Jim Klenke to process a revised ePRF

  • For Level 2 – attach the student’s transcript that verifies their Master’s degree.
  • For Level 3 – attach the student’s advancement letter verifying that they have advanced to doctoral candidacy.

For changes in FTE, use the GE amendment template below.

Process for change in FTE: 

  1. Confirm with the Associate Dean of Graduate Studies that the change is approved.
  2. Update the increase in FileMaker (this will show you the new amount they will get paid).
  3. Update the increase in the online GE spreadsheet that is used by the SOMD Accounting Office.
  4. Send a GE amendment via DocHub
  5. Once the GE amendment is signed, send it to SOMDaccounting with a note about who is being increased and by how much. Sometimes, they may need to know where the funds are coming from.
