1. Where did you move from to attend the UO? And, briefly describe how you landed on the UO AAD program. Any interesting, funny, anecdotal stories/details are welcome.
I moved to Eugene from Washington State to run competitively and train with other elite runners back in mid 1990s. My goal was to run in the Women’s Olympic Marathon Trials. Life happened and I got married and raised a family. I have been working with JSMA on a Grant project for past 5 years offering art classes for Kids with Disabilities. A colleague through JSMA had consistently been encouraging me to apply for this program. I finally did last spring and here I am.

Primarily Healthcare systems EPIC, not much creative technology outside of Power point presentations.

9. Tell me something unique about yourself.
I am married with 2 kids, Sophie 16 and Ben 14. I have been a Pediatric Occupational Therapist for over 30 years and on the UO campus with Oregon Health and Science University for 20 years. This past summer I spent 1 month with my kids in Nicaragua working with my friend’s non profit organization called “Cielo de Amor”. I helped work with the families and children with disabilities and taught the staff about developmental and play based therapies.
