People come to museums like ours to learn about our collective past, present, and future. But museums have not always made everyone feel welcome. We’re working to change that.

I am thrilled to connect with you and share some of the highlights during my first few months as the executive director of the University of Oregon Museum of Natural and Cultural History.

Dr. Don E. Dumond, a former director of the museum and leading figure in 20th century American archaeology, passed away on Thursday, June 8, 2023.
