The National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP) is a national organization with local chapters in Oregon. It is the most widely recognized grassroots civil rights organization. The Lane County Chapter was founded in 1976.

The Legal Redress and Health Committees provide assistance having to do with housing, employment, racial discrimination or other difficulties arising from intolerance or bias.

The City of Eugene Office of Human Rights and Neighborhood Involvement promotes the implementation of universal human rights values and principles in all City of Eugene programs and throughout the community. 

The Black Strategies Group supports the academic and professional development of African American UO faculty, staff, and students. Membership is open to all UO employees and retirees.

The Oregon Affiliate of the American Civil Liberties Union is an advocacy organization dedicated to defending and advancing civil liberties and civil rights through work in the courts, in the legislature, and in communities. They fight for free speech, racial justice, criminal justice reform, reproductive rights, LGBT rights, immigrants’ rights, and more.

The Black Lives Matter Global Network is a chapter-based, member-led organization whose mission is to build local power and to intervene in violence inflicted on Black communities by the state and vigilantes.

The Community Alliance of Lane County is a non-profit organization that works to advance the social justice movement by addressing root causes, the connections between pathways of oppression and the importance of working with allies.

Momentum Alliance is a youth-led nonprofit, with experienced coaches, whose mission is to inspire young people to realize their power individually and collectively to mentor future social justice leaders.

Oregon Assembly for Black Affairs is a non-partisan and nonprofit organization working to improve the political, educational, social, legal, and economic status of Blacks in Oregon.

The Oregon League of Minority Voters is a non-profit organization dedicated to empowering minority voices in community and government, as well as serving as a liaison between communities of color, policy leaders, and institutions.
