“Covering #MeToo from a solutions angle gives such great insight into the amazing initiatives taken to stop sexual assault and gives the world resources to find support. These stories provide readers with a different perspective on the issue by not constantly focusing on the negative aspects. As a journalist covering solutions during the #MeToo era, I’m hoping to bring a sense of awareness to the issue and bring to light the initiatives taken to prevent sexual assault.”

Emily Feig is an Editorial Assistant for Oregon Bride and Seattle Bride magazines. Feig conducts interviews, attends local bridal shows and provides relevant content for the bi-yearly magazine. Feig learned great editorial and communication skills and was fortunate to get hands-on experience during a wedding press trip in Sonoma County, California.  

Feig also serves as Senior Editor for the online publication Her Campus Oregon. The Oregon team is part of the national organization Her Campus, the number one online magazine for college women. As Senior Editor, Feig edits and proofreads all content for grammatical errors, story construction and ensures all photos and links work before being published on the website.

Feig will graduate from the University of Oregon School of Journalism and Communication with a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism in June 2019.
