Ariana Sinclair recently completed an internship with HarperCollins Publishers in New York working with with the marketing department at William Morrow and Dey Street Books. She built and executed a social media campaign for a front-list title using Facebook, Twitter and Instagram, created marketing materials and assisted at multiple events with featured authors, including book festivals and consumer parties.
Sinclair is currently a dispatcher for the University of Oregon’s Safe Ride Program, a sexual assault prevention shuttle dedicated to providing safe and accessible transportation to students at night. Sinclair manages weekly scheduling and driver placement with an average of over 100 rides per night. In addition to nightly rides, she volunteers with the Safe Ride program by promoting socially conscious programs and events on campus–such as the annual Take Back the Night rally–through various social media platforms and classroom promotional presentations.
Sinclair will graduate from the UO School of Journalism and Communication and the UO College of Arts and Sciences with a Bachelors of Arts in journalism and comparative literature and a minor in Spanish in June 2019.
