As you create your new curricular materials for the summer institute, it is important to keep in mind that we will not be able to host and share any Powerpoints or other lessons that involve copyright violations. If you wish to read about what is and is not permissible, please consult the excellent web page prepared by Peter Hirtle (Cornell University) about copyright.
Even when things are not in the public domain, you can still try to get permission to publish a photograph or a text.
Everything we create and share with one another during the institute, with our own original drawings, photographs, and texts, should be fair game for including in your curricular units and putting on line. We should all remember to credit one another. If you do not wish to share photographs, you will not be required to do so, of course.
