Nicole Dahmen, Faculty Leader
Nicole Dahmen is a professor at the School of Journalism and Communication at the University of Oregon. Dahmen has gained an international reputation for her scholarship, which seeks to advance public-interest journalism—reporting that holds the powerful accountable, elevates underrepresented voices, and makes a positive impact in society. She enjoys traveling, creative writing, and spending time with her two children.

Quinne Hauth, Study Abroad Coordinator
Quinne works for the GEO Study Abroad office as a Global Engagement Program Coordinator designing and supporting programs in Western Europe. She attended UO as an undergrad, and prior to living in Eugene, she lived and studied in Taiwan, India and France. Her dream is to perfect her homemade Pain au Raisin, which is very much a work in progress.

Amanda Arnold
Amanda Arnold is a student at the UO School of Journalism and Communication. She is an advertising major with a minor in entrepreneurship. Her career goal is to potentially work for an advertising firm that works with clothing companies in California. Her hobbies include spending time with friends, working out, cooking, traveling, and hanging out with her new puppy named Snoopy.

Bella Barba
Bella Barba is a student studying public relations at UO School of Journalism and Communication. With a minor in legal studies, she has a unique interest in media and communication ethics. Barba is involved as a blogger at the University’s fashion magazine, Align. She enjoys baking, scrapbooking, and reading.

Lauren Baumer
Lauren Baumer is an undergraduate student at the University of Oregon, studying journalism and cinema studies. Baumer enjoys exploring storytelling techniques and capabilities and is eager to follow this passion wherever it leads. She enjoys reading, the outdoors, cooking, and watching films and television.

Sally Campbell
Sally Campbell is a student at the University of Oregon working towards a degree in public relations with minors in writing, public speaking, and critical reasoning. Her goal is to work in a PR position within the entertainment industry after she graduates in Spring 2023. Campbell enjoys good coffee, long walks, watching films, and exploring new restaurants with friends.

Ella Cooper
Ella Cooper is a student at the University of Oregon studying advertising at the School of Journalism and Communication. Cooper hopes to have a career in advertising for a fashion company that uses sustainable products to create their clothing. The career path she hopes to achieve means that she enjoys fashion, but she also enjoys traveling, dogs, and spending time with her friends and family.

Justine Deasy
Justine Deasy is a junior at the University of Oregon’s School of Journalism and Communication studying advertising with minors in business administration and political science. After graduation, Deasy hopes to attend graduate school. She enjoys baking, movies, and painting.

Katie Dunn
Katie Dunn is a student at the University of Oregon’s School of Journalism and Communication majoring in journalism with a minor in art. Dunn works as an art director for an on-campus fashion and arts publication, Align Magazine, and hopes to further purse creative direction in the future. In addition to art and fashion, she enjoys exploring the outdoors by rock climbing, hiking, and snowboarding.

Ava Frazzetta
Ava Frazzetta is an undergraduate student at the University of Oregon’s School of Journalism and Communication. Frazzetta is working on a visual concentration and philosophy minor with the goal of getting involved in the world of videography and creating meaningful pieces. In her free time, she enjoys running, cooking, and learning obscure facts.

Aaron Gloates
Aaron Gloates is a senior in the SOJC studying public relations with a sociology major. Gloates hopes to have a career in the music industry and recently interned at a company called Primary Wave. He hopes to one day use live music to draw attention to social and political causes. In his free time he enjoys skiing, watching TV, and of course listening to music.

Ellie Gutierrez
Ellie Gutierrez is a third year student at the University of Oregon’s Lundquist College of Business majoring in marketing with minors in psychology and media studies. Gutierrez works as the director of financial operations for her sorority and plays club lacrosse for the school. She also enjoys skiing, reading, and going on walks with friends.

Kiele Head
Kiele Head is a senior SOJC honors student studying media studies with a digital humanities minor. She has recently founded the University of Oregon Media Studies Club. The club aims to create a sense of community for media studies students and provide a place to discuss media topics. Her goal is to read 50 books by the end of this year.

Sophia LaVigna
Sophia LaVigna is a fourth year undergrad student at the University of Oregon studying public relations with a minor in interior architecture. LaVigna strives to find a career that combines creativity and communication and hopes to move to New York City after graduation. In her free time, she enjoys cooking, reading, and traveling to new places.

Lizzy Lee
Lizzy Lee is a junior at the University of Oregon, majoring in journalism and minoring in multimedia. Lee is a writer for the special sections at the Daily Emerald and hopes to learn more about fashion journalism. She enjoys dancing and sewing in her spare time.

Adam MacDonald-Factor
Adam MacDonald-Factor is a student at the University of Oregon School of Journalism and Communication. MacDonald-Factor has lived in Oregon all his life and is focused on multimedia storytelling in his community. He enjoys being in the outdoors, backpacking and snowboarding, listening to music, and following his local sports teams.

Caroline Moore
Caroline Moore is a senior in the School of Journalism and Communication at the University of Oregon, studying advertising with a minor in political science. Moore is involved with Allen Hall Advertising and After Hours. After graduation, she hopes to work in advertising in New York City. She enjoys reading, sticker collecting, bicycle riding, and spending time with loved ones.

Adam Neinstein
Adam Neinstein is a senior at UO earning a degree in advertising with minors in sports business and sustainable business. After graduation, Neinstein plans to pursue a career in sports marketing. He enjoys adventuring outdoors, watching sports, and playing with animals.

Tyler Ortiz
Tyler Ortiz is a student at the University of Oregon. Entering her junior year, Ortiz is a double major in psychology and journalism. Her interests in research and writing have led her down these academic paths. She likes to spend time outside, discover new places, and walk her dog, Charlie.

Makena Pratt
Makena Pratt is a University of Oregon senior studying journalism. While Pratt thoroughly enjoys her journalistic pursuits, she has a long-term goal to practice criminal law. When she isn’t writing articles or reading legal case studies, Pratt enjoys cooking, upcycling clothing, relaxing at the beach, and spending time with her loved ones.

Sophia Rojas
Sophia Rojas is a senior at the University of Oregon, majoring in advertising and minoring in business administration. Rojas is a writer and creative director for Labyrinth Magazine and currently has a summer internship in Los Angeles as a marketing intern for TRG Investments. She enjoys drawing, painting, going to the beach, and spending time with her friends and family.

Tabby Scarry
Tabby Scarry is a fourth year student at the University of Oregon studying general social science with a focus in crime and law and sports business. Tabby has interest in criminology and is fascinated with the law. Outside of school, she enjoys cooking, reading books, wake surfing, and snow skiing.

Maren Takeuchi
Maren Takeuchi is a sophomore at the University of Oregon studying business marketing with a special interest in journalism. Takeuchi hopes to study abroad every summer, as she has a passion for traveling and discovering new places. She enjoys being in the sun, spending time with family and friends, and being with her dog.

Charlie Vigne
Charlie Vigne is a senior at the University of Oregon. He is majoring in journalism at the School and Journalism and Communications and English at the College of Arts and Sciences. His long-term goal is to work for a well-known magazine or to go into publishing in NYC. He enjoys reading, hanging out with friends, and watching whatever movie TikTok tells him to watch next.

Sam Wettstein
Sam Wettstein is entering her fourth year at the School of Journalism and Communication at the University of Oregon where she is studying public relations with minors in ethics and sociology. Wettstein hopes to find a balance between producing efficient, ethical communication that benefits both the consumer and the corporation. In her free time, she enjoys puzzles, hanging out with her friends, and eating burritos.

Jamie Yanofsky-Boudreau
Jamie Yanofsky is a senior in the School of Journalism and Communication at the UO, studying advertising with a minor in digital humanities. Yanofsky enjoys working with social media platforms and strives to one day create artistic campaigns for advertising agencies in the fashion or cosmetic industry. Some of her passions include creating artwork, yoga, cosmetology, and creating lookbooks for current and upcoming trends in fashion.
