PUBLIC RELATIONS is a strategic communication process that builds mutually beneficial relationships between organizations and their publics. Public relations is about influencing, engaging and building a relationship with key stakeholders across a myriad of platforms in order to shape and frame the public perception of an organization.

MEDIA STUDIES are the exploration of the inner workings and impact of media on the world with emphasis on analytical, critical thinking, and research. Media studies is about critically analyzing one of the most powerful forces in our modern for the purposes of understanding history, formation, and effects on the most pressing issues of our time, from free speech to issues of gender, diversity, and politics.
