The Picasso museum was stunning. I really appreciated how modernized it was. It made the displays very aesthetically pleasing to look at. It was also such a beautiful building inside and out. I found it interesting that thus museum in particular had a lot of art that was dedicated to Picasso’s Maya. I learned that she took her mothers last name and was Maya Ruiz. I felt it was interesting that there was a lot of art about Maya because it had a few of us questioning if she was the favorite of his 5 children of if they were the closest. I enjoyed how some of his work evolved around his family. It shows how family oriented he was. I also thought it was interesting yet disturbing how the museum displayed their finger nails and hair. Disturb and disgust were emotions brought up when seeing that in the case display. Some of my favorite pieces were the sketches he drew of his daughter Maya.
