I consider these prints from the Musee de l’Orangerie gift shop as ethically created items for sale. They are prints of the artwork and are not altered in any way. People would buy these because they enjoy the piece of art and wish to display it. These prints can convey the same feelings to the viewer as in the museum when displayed, even if they are taken out of their original aura.

On the other hand, gift shop items such as this bluetooth speaker with Monet’s waterlilies on them are, in my opinion, are ethically concerning. Just as theorist Walter Benjamin said in his book The Work of Art in the Age of Mechanical Reproduction, once the art is taken from its location, both physically and culturally, it looses all authencity. This product is soley created for the purpose of making a profit and does little to help preserve the aura and authencity of the waterlily painting. Therefore, it is not created ethically because it ignores the goals and purpose Monet had for his painting.
