Having the opportunity to visit the Musee d’Orsay and the Musee du Louvre in one trip has been both fantastic and fortunate. I’m eternally happy that I’ll be able to say I visited both these museums, but also proud to say I actually appreciate their art. It was fascinating to walk around both these museums, see priceless art, and appreciate the venues the art was kept. If I had to choose, I feel I liked the Louvre more. There were many pieces within the museum that I was looking forward to seeing (and definitely was not disappointed in finally seeing them in person). I quite literally teared up briefly when I finally saw Venus de Milo. And despite the crowds at the Louvre, I was still able to get some great photos of her too!
Aside from this, I’m so appreciative of what we were all able to learn during our visits to these museums.
