Orsay and Louvre Reflection

Going to these two very popular and famous museums this week was eye-opening. The Orsay was stunning, I deeply enjoyed the setting, with the clocks and the bright open area down the middle. The Lourve, while also stunning was so large and vast to the point that I had trouble focusing on the beauty around me. Though both museums were very crowded with hundreds of tourists, the Orsay somehow felt much more intimate, with many spaces having fewer people, meaning more room to appreciate the art surrounding me. My personal art preference definitely favored the Orsay as Impressionism is one of my favorite styles, and Renaissance is one of my least. To me, the Lourve felt much less about taking time to appreciate the art, and more to appreciate actually being in such a famous place. I did really enjoy seeing Napoleon’s apartment, learning more about the history of the Lourve itself, and getting away from the crowds for a brief moment.
