I was blown away at the Picasso museum. Learning more about the life of Picasso helped me understand his art on a different level. Several of the pieces in the museum I have never seen before so I enjoyed taking the time trying to understand the meaning behind them. In a discussion I was having, it was mentioned that artists may feel trapped inside their own heads because of how many expressions and emotions they feel and I believe that showed throughout Picasso’s works. It seemed that Picasso wanted to connect people through art instead of solely painting for himself, which invokes many feelings when examining his work. Picasso’s ability to connect a diverse range of audiences shows the true power of his work and its ability to transcend beyond the canvas. Every viewer will have a different reaction to each of his pieces but will still be able to appreciate the dedication to detail and perfecting his craft.
