About Me

Makayla DeFrancisco is a sophomore in the School of Journalism and Communication at the University of Oregon. She is originally from West Linn, Oregon. DeFrancisco is majoring in Journalism, and minoring in Law Studies. She is currently finishing up with Gateway, and moving toward specializing her concentration in Journalism. DeFrancisco is eager to improve on her interviewing, find where she fits best in the Journalism field, and better her overall communication skills.

As of right now, DeFrancisco hopes to go into a career in multimedia journalism, digital journalism, or apply her journalism skills to a career outside the field. She also hopes to work toward getting hands-on journalism experience in a publication if possible.
