Video Project: Soccer in the Arab Community

This video was created in response to the one-word prompt of “Unity.” My partner and I chose to focus on the Arab international students at the UO, and more specifically on their participation in the intramural soccer league. We were inspired by Abdullah Alharbi, a student from Saudi Arabia who has become fluent in English due to his participation in soccer at the UO. Through this casual pick-up league, many students are able to find a sense of community and unity despite their distance from home.
