Welcome to my EPortfolio!

As a first year student of the AAD graduate program, I am excited and motivated to be learning all about arts management. To be completely honest, before orientation of the program I did not know what arts management truly meant and what it meant for me as a museum studies concentration. As I have realized now, arts management will prepare me for more than just my concentration. Although I am extremely excited to start learning more about museum studies, I am even more interested in learning what the other courses in this program will have to offer me for my future career in the arts management field. My goal after I finish my masters degree is to become an Education Coordinator for a cultural or historical museum. I want to connect public and private schools with the museums in different communities. I want to be able to teach students about culture and encourage k-12 schools to communicate with their local museums and participate in educational programs.
