Simplified and Traditional Chinese are two writing system of Chinese language.

The simplified Chinese 简体字 was adopted in Mainland China after the end of the Chinese Civil War and the establishment of the People’s Republic of China (PRC) in 1949.

The traditional (Classic) Chinese 正體字 is the written language of Taiwan (Republic of China), Hong Kong, and Macau.
