Cuba is known for limited rights for their citizens, and resistance groups are common but illegal. Currently the “Paro Nacional” or the National Strike in english, is a proposal of civil disobedience. Paro Nacional which entails not participating in anything government related and pro regime activities. Paro National was created by the growing resistance group Asamblea de la Resistencia Cubana (ARC). ARC hopes to dissolve Cubas one party state and bring democracy to Cuba despite Cubas long history as a one party state.

Messages from ARC have been appearing all over Cuba, the most heavily used right now has been “3×3 Paro Nacional” which translates to “3×3 National Strike”. This message has been popping up with the intention to tell people they should have a support group of three people to rely on during power outages or suspensions of internet or cellular service, all of which are common events in Cuba, especially when the Cuban government is trying to silence a resistance group such as Asamblea de la Resistencia Cubana, that is gaining popular support.

ARC has been gaining support all through Cuba, and as they gain more members they become more vocal, but this also makes them a bigger target for the oppressive Cuban government.
