Our friends at M.E.Ch.A. de UO will be hosting the 13th annual Raza Unida Youth Conference (RUYC) on May 5th, 2017. RUYC is an all day event in which they invite Latinx high school students from Lane County and other parts of the State to come to the University of Oregon and participate in a day filled with workshops, and keynote speakers. The motto of Raza Unida Youth Conference is Educación; El Derecho De La Raza! (Education; the Right of the People!). With this in mind, this year’s conference theme will be My Existence is Resistance (Mi existir es resistir) as a reminder to our community that our survival is revolutionary. There will be workshops on topics such as culture, identity, education, gender, sexuality, and immigration. Questions?
