Announcing 2019-2020 Leadership Team

With the conclusion of the 2018-2019 school year comes the transition to a new leadership board. This board marks a new era for LGBT+ in STEM, as all founding members of the organization will have transitioned out of their leadership roles. We would like to thank Lisa, Kenyon, and Kiana for their time on the leadership board and recognize Abby and Tzula for their commitment to the board this year and next. We also want to welcome Alexis Kiessling (chemistry) and Amber Rolland (biochemistry) to the leadership team for next school year. Please help us welcome this new group of leaders. We hope next year we will continue to see growth in visibility and support for all graduate students, faculty, and staff in the sciences.

2019-2020 Leadership Team:

Seeking Board Nominations

LGBT+ in STEM is seeking board nominations for the 2018-2019 AY to fill a vacant seat on the board.

Our leadership board runs as an ad-hoc committee of 4 people. We meet about once a month to plan upcoming social events or educational events and discuss current issues at the cross-section of the LGBTQ+ community and the sciences.

Any graduate student, faculty, or staff in the sciences who identifies as LGBTQ+ may be nominated
Nominations can be peer or self nominated
Nominations are open from August 10 to August 24, 2018.

Nominees will be contacted by the board and asked to submit a few sentences about what you would bring to the board/LGBT+ in STEM organization and why you would like to be involved.
