New Student Survey Questions

1. Where did you move from to attend the UO? And, briefly describe how you landed on the UO AAD program. Any interesting, funny, anecdotal stories/details are welcome.

 I am originally from Oregon, and went to UO for my undergraduate degree.  After this I moved to Laramie, Wyoming for my masters program.  For this degree I am returning to Oregon.  I decided on this because I enjoy the arts but want to look into the management aspect versus performance.

3. Describe your knowledge and use of technology systems.

I have a MacBook and iPad; I am familiar with various operating systems and Microsoft Suite.

4. What software do you commonly use? Briefly describe purpose/application for software on your list.

Microsoft Suite is what I am most comfortable with, I have basically used it for word processing, some excel work and power points on occasion.

5. Do you have any graphic design or media production/management experience? Have you taken any graphic design or media production courses?

I do not have any experience in this yet.

6. Know anything about typography?

I’m familiar with what it is and different fonts, but not typography specifically or developing new fonts.

7. Do you use Web (2.0) apps? Name those that you use or are familiar with.

I’m not familiar with those apps.

8. Do you use Social Media (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Snapchat, Vine, Yelp, etc.)? Name those that you engage in.

I do use social media!  I mostly use Instagram, Facebook and Pinterest.

9. Tell me something unique about yourself.

I’m getting married in June!
