As journalists, we strive to be flies on the wall. We work to immerse ourselves in the story while remaining removed and objective. But there comes a time in every journalist’s career when keeping a low profile is simply impossible.
As it turns out, our night of filming at DISJECTA art gallery was that moment for all three of us. As we are leaving, Kylie was stopped and asked for her Instagram handle and a note awaited Sutton and me in the windshield of the car (pictured below).
While we may never know which brown-haired guy is the strikingly handsome figure this young woman is reaching out to, it serves as a valuable teaching moment. No matter how hard you try to blend in, if you’re a part of the Koso production team, invisibility is simply impossible.
