I am a current Junior at the University of Oregon, a journalism major with a sports business minor, and this past year got the opportunity to walk onto the University’s Men’s Basketball team. Growing up, I was constantly surrounded by sports due to having a parent involved as a coach for college football. With his success coaching meant going to many different parts of the country moving to new schools, new communities, and more importantly for me, new cultures. Seeing this with a sports lens, I wanted to find a way to keep my passion for sports and want to relay sports topics to people into a career; I eventually got involved with my high school news broadcasting classes and I instantly knew what I wanted to do.
