The drone 100 project intended to combine the aspects of science and art. Sponsored by the Ars Electronica Futurelab, the Drone 100 project showed an effective way to exhibit the cohesiveness of arts and science. With the backing of the Futurelab, the drone 100 project produced an amazing spectacle.

Through the Electronica Futurelab, a group of scientists creating a spectacular light show with the use of 100 drones. Going for a world record, the team flew 100 spaxels into the air. A spaxel is a form of a drone equipped with LED lights, creating three dimensional visuals. When synchronized, the spaxels can work in harmony and create amazing visuals seen from all aspects.
