Presentation and Contribution

This has definitely been one of the more stressful weeks of this class so far. Between the presentation Monday, getting sick, and all of the assignments due next week I realize now more than ever just how important staying organized and on top of projects can be. It was really odd not being the presenter for our group, I’ve always been the one to volunteer to present and I have a lot of experience doing it so trying to step back and teach my teammates the skills that I’ve learned over the years was really hard. But it was also really satisfying to see them get better each time they practiced and really value what I had to say. Overall I think that our presentation was acceptable and that we had a killer hook and conclusion but in order for us to succeed for the final there’s going to need to be a lot more work done for our presentation both public speaking and content wise.

As far as my contribution to the Quack Pack so far I definitely that I have been an asset, I always try to both start the conversation off and keep it rolling when we’re brain storming or working on solutions to problems and try to encourage everyone to contribute as well. Even when it seems that we’ve come to a consensus as to the idea we want I really try to encourage one or two more ideas and those tend to be the ones that we end up choosing so I think that without my input and extra inquiry that we would have gone a much different route. I also make a big effort to take on a fair work load, for the presentation I was unavailable for the day my team members initially put together the presentation so I decided to do a little extra research in order to show that I cared about the quality of our finished product and put in the same amount of work as the rest of the group.
