Week 5: Jamie Schaub – Lunch Love Community

What a fantastic initiative Lunch Love Community is. I watched several videos, starting with Flamin’ Hot, and I was intrigued by the simple yet complex goal of providing healthy school lunches for children.

I like how the videos don’t focus on the negative side of school lunch programs, such as funding sources, vendor kick-backs, and the sloggish bureaucratic red tape the common everywhere. We all know this happens in the food industry. Instead, the Lunch Love Community web site is a great example of digital storytelling, beginning with frustrated parents to an enlightened school board. Historical and inspiring at the same time!

From a 30 Leaves Production perspective, how did the client approach you or did you approach them? How often is the site updated with new videos?

A notable aspect of your comment is the positive perspective on the videos’ focus. By pointing out that the videos avoid delving into the negative aspects of school lunch programs, you highlight the project’s emphasis on inspirational storytelling rather than dwelling on challenges. This insight reflects a keen understanding of the storytelling approach taken by Lunch Love Community
