There are quite a few locations in Oregon that have some of the clearest waters I have seen, and the blue pool is another one of those places.

Another photo by Savannah Robinson on July 18, 2015 after our hike. We lasted about .5 seconds once we jumped in; the weather was nice but the water was about 30 degrees.

The water is FREEZING so be cautious! I’ve had some of my bravest male friends who love the cold water, jump in and out in less than a minute.

There is a ledge to jump off of, so PLEASE be cautious if you choose to do so.

It’s about an hour and a half away from Eugene (free parking), plus 2-3 miles of hiking to get to the water, so it is a day trip that should be planned accordingly.

It is a beautiful place to visit, so many of my friends have graduated and never saw the beauty of this pool. Although it is freezing, the clarity of the water definitely makes up for it.
