Rock Slides: Triangle Lake

Here is a video courtesy of Matthew Beadle of our friends going down the rock slides. They used a GoPro and made a train together, hilarious!

In the summer of 2014, my friends and I were bored for the eighth Saturday in a row, and decided to go somewhere we had only heard other friends talk of. The rock slides are a natural water slide and swimming hole only about an hour away from Eugene.

The swimming hole was a different experience for me, because in the past when my family and I would spend time in the water we would go to a lake, or my backyard pool. The sound of the cool rushing water over the rocks is so relaxing, especially when there is a built-in water slide waiting for you.

There are rocks to lay out on and enjoy snacks with friends; but be careful drinking is of course prohibited, yet some decide to break the law and receive citations for doing so (up to $200).

Going to the rock slides is an additional way to cool down on a sunny summer days, in comparison to going to the river and wishing you had water shoes for the 30th time.
