#1 Mini Autobiography

Taking a “selfie” at Cinque Terre in Italy. My childhood dream of visiting this exact place came true this summer!

After growing up around architecture, design and taking various art classes, I knew I would end up going towards a more creative field. I found a knack for design in high school when I became a part of the yearbook staff. As a junior at the UO now, I am just as crazy as I was in high school. I cannot seem to decide which field of journalism I want to go into. That is mostly because I honestly LOVE all of the SOJC emphases and find all aspects of journalism beyond interesting. I am intrigued by my school.

On top of the Duomo in Florence, Italy during my study abroad trip this summer.

It is comfortable and never seizes to amaze me. I threw myself into various opportunities on campus that include: UO Miracle, Allen Hall Advertising, and my sorority, Delta Delta Delta. Some fun facts that you should know about me are that I am most likely to be seen cuddling golden retrievers, geeking out over fonts (currently Bebas and Brain Flower), or tweeting on various twitter accounts, including my own @hayleylaneee. I aspire to be the next Kristen Wigg on SNL. However, on the slight chance that this dream actually does come true, I would love to work for a prestigious magazine or advertising agency. AND well, that’s me.
