Following the Fall 2017 symposium on Social Justice through Antiracist Writing Assessment, the Composition Program collected resources from Dr. Asao Inoue’s lectures and workshops to help instructors implement labor- and contract-based assessment practices in their classrooms. While instructors began using contract grading models during the 2017-2018 academic year, a formal contract grading pilot continued through academic year 2018-2019 to revisit our grading policy, create course-specific learning objectives, and consider the future of the Composition Program.
