Research internships are open to currently enrolled graduate students in the College of Education. To be successful, research internships should meet the minimum guidelines, listed below:

  • Supervising faculty member and graduate student should meet regularly over the course of the internship
  • Expectations for faculty member and graduate student should be agreed upon at the beginning of the term, and documented in writing
  • Tasks for the graduate student should be detailed and clear with an established timeline for completion
  • Internships for credit need to meet the university-wide guidelines of 40 hours per graduate-level credit
  • Instructor of record needs to be an approved graduate faculty member
