The Health Promotion Initiative at the University of Oregon includes faculty members in Counseling Psychology and Human Services, School Psychology, Human Physiology and Biology. Each faculty member’s program of research centers around the common goal of promoting the health of individuals, families and communities. An interdisciplinary approach to the study of health – a complex phenomenon determined by biological, psychological, environmental, and cultural factors – is vital to the creation of effective, sustainable preventive and intervention efforts in our community.
