LeaderShape is a four–day immersive leadership development program that is offered by the Holden Center. At Camp Tadmor in Lebanon, Oregon, students will spend the week collaborating with fellow students, engaging in transformative activities, and reflecting on their vision for the world. Duck Nest Peer Wellness Advocate
The Duck Nest Peer Wellness Advocates is a peer-to-peer volunteer organization that provides health resources to the UO community. Commitments depend on availability and need.

The ASUO executive cabinet positions range to fit a variety of interests and if appointed you receive a monthly leadership stipend that begins fall term. The estimated time commitment for each role is 5-15 hours per week with office hours, cabinet meetings, and various ASUO-required activities.

Academic Senators serve as liaisons between Student Senate and the academic constituencies they represent, meaning they must be enrolled in the major field of study. The overall time commitment is approximately 10-20 hours per week and senators receive a monthly stipend. Inquire for specific vacant positions.

Outdoor Program Trip Initiator
Trip initiators lead single-day or multi-day outdoor trips for UO students. To become a trip initiator you must attend a two-hour clinic that gives you the basics for leading any trip and be van certified.

Duck Trails Camp Counselors facilitate games and activities and serve as role models for children aged 5-18. Counselors are expected to work 40 hours a week between June 18 and August 25. Applications are available spring term.

Fraternities and sororities conduct a recruitment process that occurs in the fall, with informal recruitment opportunities throughout the year. Contact them for specific membership questions for different chapters and councils.

The EMU Board is responsible for making general policy decisions and long-range plans for the operation of the EMU. There are 12 student board member positions that are appointed through either the campus wide election or through a direct appointment.

Student Leadership Team for Equity and Inclusion
The Student Leadership Team (SLT) is comprised of a dynamic group of students who serve as facilitators, trainers, peer educators, and mentors to incoming students.

Resident Assistant applications are due at the beginning of winter term for the following year. RAs are live-in student leaders and are expected to work around 20 hours a week facilitating community and developing one-on-one relationships.

Join a Student Club/Organization
Joining a student club or organization allows you to enter leadership roles in a subject or area that interests you. Engage lists all campus organizations and the contact information for each organization.
The Club Sports Advisory Board serves as a representative body for the Club Sports program. Members consist of student leaders from a variety of teams that serve as resources to club officers, manage the distribution of funding for national championships, and complete projects that lead to the overall success of the Club Sports program.

Multicultural Center Board of Directors
The Multicultural Center (MCC) Board of Directors oversees the staff and program advisor to ensure that the MCC adequately represents the voice of students.

Student Orientation Staff (SOSers) lead groups of incoming students during IntroDUCKtion, making them the first to engage all new students as they enroll at UO. SOSers will complete training throughout spring term, and work full-time throughout the summer. The position is competitive, and applications close in January.
Members of the Welcome Team are responsible for planning and coordinating new students’ welcome events during Week of Welcome, Winter Warmup, and programming during the first six weeks of fall term. Applications for the position open during winter term.
Student Ambassadors and Multicultural Recruiter-Ambassadors
The Ambassador Program recruits prospective students through campus tours, open house events, and off-campus receptions. Ambassadors work January to June. Applications open and close fall term.
