On-Campus Academic Leadership Opportunities

Outdoor Pursuits Program 

Take classes offered here at UO that will expand your outdoor leadership skills. A minimum of 26 credits is required to complete the Leadership certificate program. Classes are also offered for those not seeking the certificate and have nocredit options.

Educational Methodology, Policy, and Leadership (EMPL) Leadership and Administrative Skills Minor (LEADS) 

The LEADS minor requires a total of 24 credits and is open to all majors. The course work is grounded in modern leadership theory and research and practical work to prepare students for graduate programs.

Environmental Leadership Program 

Students in the program take a class together as a cohort during winter term, and then spend the spring term engaging in various environmental projects that engage with our local community.

Undergraduate Teaching Assistant  

Meet with your professor or advisor to learn more about this opportunity within a specific department. 

Undergraduate Teaching Assistant’s (TAs) assist faculty and graduate teaching fellows throughout a course. TAs have the ability to learn material more in depth by teaching it to other students and are given the opportunity to strengthen relationships with faculty and graduate students.
