Madeline Reece is a member of the University of Oregon Women’s Lacrosse team. She is the youngest of four and the only female, so playing sports was second nature for her. The competitive atmosphere of lacrosse is what most intrigues her.
Madeline Reece takes the field hours before the start of the game to have a pass with her teammate Mandi Trostle for their game day ritual. Although today she honors this opportunity by wearing a BeOregon shooting shirt that reminds her to be true to herself and the game.
Reece closes her eyes and clears her mind of any distractions prior to the start of the game. She acknowledges the opportunity she has as a woman playing a college sport at the division one level with gratitude.
In bold rainbow colors, BETRUE was written across the sleeve of every player’s shirt to represent the first ever BeOregon game for women’s Lacrosse.
