Biographical Information

I am an assistant professor in the Department of Geography at the University of Oregon. I obtained my Ph.D. in Computer Science (Dr. rer. nat., Ph.D. in Natural Sciences) from the University of Hamburg and previously held postdoctoral positions at Technical University of Braunschweig and Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (research director for the TeCO institute), as well as temporary appointments with Gwangju Institute of Science and Technology (contract assistant professor) and Carnegie Mellon University (assistant teaching professor).
