Shows T4 is embed at the corner of Patterson social.
T4 in Eugene is a newly opened café located close to the University of Oregon campus, approximately a 10-minute walk away. It is situated in the storefront space of the nearby Patterson social apartment complex, making it easily visible as one walks by. Due to its convenient location, many students would stop by the café to grab a drink before or after their classes. While most customers primarily stop by grab-and-go, the place also provides ample seating for those who wish to linger. With limited street parking spaces, walking to the café is the preferred choice for most customers.
The café’s interior is predominantly white and Tiffany blue, reflecting its brand’s color scheme. Upon entering, customers are greeted by the counter staff where orders and drinks preparation takes place. Posters of the T4’s featured drinks are displayed prominently above the counter, hung from the side of the mezzanine space. Stairs are located to the left of the entrance, but the second floor is reserved exclusively for staff. If the second-floor were to be opened up, it could serve as a semi-private seating area for all. The overall design of the space promotes simplicity as its defining feature.

Once you enter T4, there is a staircase to the left that is blocked off and clearly reserved for staff. I think opening up that area to customers would be a great way to provide some privacy within the building. Currently, the only available seating is all on the ground floor to the right of the ordering counter. There is only one type of chair throughout the space which limits the choice of customers. If the upstairs area included booths or a type of seating that differed from the ground floor, the building would then have two unique types of spaces that allowed for a customer to choose where they preferred to be when enjoying their drink.
