Submit DMA Public Lecture Scheduling Form to the Music Graduate Office
Four Weeks
before Final Oral Defense
Apply for Final Oral Defense on GradWeb
Three Weeks
before Final Oral Defense
Submit completed draft of lecture-document to committee. Include approval page.
 Week Nine Last week to hold DMA Public Lecture and Final Oral Defense
Monday of Finals Week Last day to submit your completed and approved lecture-document to Scholars’ Bank

(Dissertation)

Three Weeks
before Final Oral Defense
Submit completed draft of dissertation to committee. 
 Week Nine Last week to hold PhD Public Lecture and Final Oral Defense
2 Weeks After Oral Defense Last day to upload dissertation to ProQuest/UMI (see detailed instructions on the UO Graduate School website). Include approval page (please plan in advance to secure your advisor’s signature). 

 

Deadlines for Completion of Master’s Degree (Recital)

Pre-Recital Hearing
Submit Recital Scheduling Form to the Music Graduate Office
Four weeks
before Recital
  1. Perform Pre-Recital Hearing for committee — BRING PRINTED PROGRAM
  2. After Pre-Recital Hearing has been approved, go to Recital Procedures webpage for instructions (Information and Arrangements form, dress rehearsal, publicizing your recital, printing your program)
One term
prior to term of graduation
Schedule an appointment with the Music Graduate Office for a checklist review
Friday
of Week One
Checklist due to the Music Graduate Office (send via email to gradmus@uoregon.edu)
Monday
of Week Two
Last day to register – must enroll for a minimum of 3 graduate credits

  • Must be enrolled in studio lessons during the term that a recital is presented
