Puerto Rico forces a lot of educated individuals to seek out opportunities for a better life in the United states. For the most part, educated Boricuas (Puerto Ricans) need to migrate to be able to apply and use their set of skills. According to the article by University Wire titled, Puerto Ricans struggle moving to central Florida, the country has a 11.5% sales tax due to its $70 billion debt. The unemployment rate is so high that it leaves no opportunities.
