Meet the Georgies

Meet the members of the Georgies team!

Ellie

Ellie is responsible for planning Lesson 3, which introduces students to both the West Cascades Ecoregion and a Scratch project they will have the opportunity to modify in the next lesson. She also helped edit Lesson 4, worked on the main Scratch project, and created a mini game for Lesson 2. She feels very connected to this project because she enjoys being outdoors and visits a different National Park with her family every year.

Elias

Elias is the manager of our website! Responsible for graphics, page organization, and ensuring all our posts are up to date! He’s the one writing this post right now! Pretty meta, right?

Selina

Selina planned lesson 1 which introduces how to define an ecosystem. Her lesson encourages creativity and helps students lead their own learning through classroom discussions. Sheh also created a mini scratch simulation for lesson 2. Her final artifact features her favorite place in Oregon along the coast. Selina loves the outdoors and enjoys hiking, backpacking, and crafting which helped inspire her work in this project.

Taylor

Taylor planned out Lesson 4, which helps students use their knowledge from Lessons 1-3 to create a game demonstrating their understanding of the natural processes and an ecosystem in Oregon. She also helped by creating the Scratch game used in lesson 3 and a mini-lesson in lesson 2. She enjoyed working on this project because she grew up in Oregon and loves the environment that Oregon has.

Georgie!
